The QuickPole Counterweight is a stackable counterweight you can screw onto the existing thread of your QuickPole. Thanks to lever physics, placing weight at the rear of the pole balances out the windshield + transmitter at the other end, significantly reducing the load on your arms and shoulders during long takes.
There are two versions available:
- A81071 | Counterweight for QP5 (CW-QP5)
- A81072 | Counterweight for QP Slim (CW-QPslim)
How to stack the counterweights?
If you are using a QP5 you can add CW-QP5 counterweights to add more weight.
If you're using the counterweight with the QuickPole Slim and want to stack an additional counterweight on top, please note that the next counterweight also needs to be the CW-QP5, so the QuickPole Series 5 version - as the outer thread of the first counterweight matches the QP5 counterweights.
Please also note:
Since the counterweight itself has a 35 mm diameter, it is wider than the QuickPole Slim's 30 mm tube. This means the original rubber end cap of the QuickPole Slim will no longer fit once the counterweight is attached. Users can purchase a bundle including the rubber bumper (A81067) including the Counterweight for the QP Slim and the 35mm bumper or can purchase the 35 mm rubber bumper (A02820) separately.
Compatibility to older boompole models
The counterweights also fit many of our older models:
- CW-QP5 is compatible with: QP5 / QX / QXS
- CW-QPSlim is compatible with: QP Slim / QP4 / QS
