To make camera metadata (e.g. clip name, lens, ISO etc.) show up in the LockitScript App, the iPad must be connected to the Lockit+ in C-Jam Mode via WiFi.
Compatible cameras:
- ARRI cameras with Camera Access Protocol (CAP)
- RED DSMC2 cameras
- Sony Burano
No matter which camera model you have, the general workflow always includes one Lockit+ in ACN master mode and an additional Lockit per camera that supplies TC and Genlock to the camera and may return metadata to the Lockit+ via ACN.
If you want to learn more about the general timecode and genlock/sync setup of your camera please consult the tutorial in ✅ How to sync your gear first.

Workflow for ARRI CAP cameras:
- Use a TC-IO cable (A80497) to connect a NanoLockit or Lockit to your camera. If you have an Alexa Mini , the TC-IO-RA cable (A80500) is used instead. Since the metadata will be forwarded to the Lockit+ via WiFi, no additional metadata cable is required here.
- Enter the "System" menu of the camera and activate "Camera Access Protocol (CAP)"
- Leave the CAP password at its default "arri" in menu > "System" > "CAP server password"Â
- Go to camera menu "System" -> "Network / WiFi" and activate WiFi. Choose client to connect to the Lockit+ WiFi.
- Now the ARRI camera is enabled to send clip metadata to the LockitScript app via the Lockit+.
Workflow for RED DSMC2 cameras:
- Use a TC-SYNC-RED cable (A80548) to connect an ACN-CL Lockit or Lockit+ to the SYNC port for TC and Genlock and an additional ACN-RCP cable (A80026) to retrieve metadata from the CTRL port.
- If no Genlock is required, an ACN-TC-RCP cable (A80027) in combination with a NanoLockit is sufficient.
- Activate RCP serial in the camera settings.
- Now the RED camera is enabled to send clip metadata to the connected Lockit, which will forward it to the Lockit+ and the LockitScript app.
Workflow for Sony Burano camera:
- Connect a NanoLockit or ACN-CL Lockit to the camera via LTC-OUT cable (A80287). The metadata will be transferred to the Lockit+ via WiFi.
- For Genlock sync, an additional SYNC-OUT cable (A80549) and at least an ACN-CL Lockit is required.
- In the camera menu go to Network > Network setup and enter a Input Password first (e.g. "sony1234" )
- Afterwards you are enabled to choose LAN Type Select network settings. Choose WLAN (ST Mode) to join the Lockit+ WiFi.
- Go to Network > ST Mode Settings
- Enable Camera Remote Control and enter the network password of your Lockit+.
- Now the Sony Burano is enabled to send clip metadata to the LockitScript App via the Lockit+
